Alumna Lucille Slade is on the “Go”

AFDA Live Performance alumna Lucille Slade’s latest song on which she features, “Go”, by DJ Zinhle and Dr Duda, hit the No1 spot on the SA radio music charts at the end of March 2020. Lucille first burst onto the South African music scene in 2016, after releasing a cover of Cassper Nyovest’s song “Tito Mboweni.” on the internet which went viral.

Lucille took the opportunity of the buzz created on the net from Cassper’s cover to release her debut album “Scratch the Surface”. The 10-track project was released under her then label Boom Studio. Since then, she's shared a number of gems including “Velvet” and “Khuluma Nami”, which was produced by Grammy-nominated producer, Evoke.

She also featured on Stogie T's last two projects Honey and Pain (2018) and The Empire of Sheep (2019). Her unmatched work ethic and continued showcasing of her immense talent landed her on the top 15 South African Artist 2019 to watch list.

Lucille is currently working on her latest EP Love Me Slowly and set to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the game and is also an actor on the SABC2 television soapie, 7de Laan, playing the role of Tsakani.
